Marie’s Story: Spastic CP

"Marie's body is developing beautifully and she has become straight... What we most enjoy is the fact that she has become a mischievous little girl, full of character."

Marie by her Mother

Cerebral Palsy

We are Emmanuelle and Laurent, our daughter is Marie she is now

17 years old.  Marie has after effects of a premature birth i.e. cerebral palsy.  Until 8 years of age she hadn’t developed very much physically or mentally. Her body was immature and a little twisted.

Finding TST

We live in France but when we heard about TST we decided to come to the UK to learn.  When we returned home we started the “Scotson Therapy” for two hours of exercises every day.

Marie is much more alert and very much better

Now Marie’s body is developing beautifully and she has become straight.  But the main progress is her understanding and personality; she is much more alert and is very much better.  Before when we looked at her she seemed sleepy, but now her eyes are always sparkling.

A child full of character

What we most enjoy is the fact that she has become a mischievous little girl, full of character.  Now when we are interested by a film on TV, she makes a noise intentionally to distract us and thinks this is very funny.  Before TST Marie was often sad and frequently crying and frequently unwell.  But now she enjoys all activities we do with her.  As for her health, this is good.

Mother’s joy

I feel that if we hadn’t done the “Scotson Technique” Marie’s body would have become increasingly deformed and her life would have been full of illness and frustration.  Instead we have a happy healthy child who continues to make lots of progress in so many encouraging ways.
